Darrison and Whitney Tellez are the Lead Pastors of Free House Church. Married for eight years, they are raising their two daughters. Their family is at the heart of everything they do, and together they have given their lives to building the local church.

At 18 years old, Darrison joined a missions trip to the Los Angeles Dream Center that would forever change the direction of his life. During that trip, God planted a vision in his heart so deeply that he made the decision to give up a full-ride college scholarship, attend Bible college, and begin the journey of uncovering his call to pastor and build the local church.

Whitney experienced a similar calling as a teenager, when God placed a conviction in her heart that she would spend her life building His Church and helping people encounter Jesus.

Years later, that shared calling has become Free House Church.

Together, Darrison and Whitney have made it their life’s assignment to help people encounter Jesus, step into their God-given identity, experience true freedom, and discover the purpose God has placed inside of them. They believe following Jesus should produce a life that is full—not simply a life to be endured, but one that can be enjoyed. And they believe church should reflect that. It should be alive. It should feel like family. It should be filled with joy. In their words, church should be a party.

They are passionate about preaching the Word of God in a way that is biblically grounded, unapologetically centered on Jesus, relevant to every generation, and able to speak to both the person who has followed Jesus for decades and the person walking into church for the very first time.

At the center of their heart for Miami is a simple conviction: Jesus still sets people free.
